Proverbs 4:

The beginning of wisdom is this: Get[a] wisdom.

    Though it cost all you have,[b] get understanding.

Cherish her, and she will exalt you;

    embrace her, and she will honor you.

She will give you a garland to grace your head

    and present you with a glorious crown.”

Wisdom is not something that suddenly falls upon you overnight. The chase for wisdom will last you your entire lifetime. Even though it may seem as so, this is not meant to discourage you on your journey, but actually the entire opposite. You see, the search for wisdom is an everyday thing. Not only is wisdom found in the big events or revelations, but wisdom is to be found in the everyday events.

Proverbs 4:

20

My son, pay attention to what I say;

    turn your ear to my words.

21

Do not let them out of your sight,

    keep them within your heart;

22

for they are life to those who find them

    and health to one’s whole body.

23

Above all else, guard your heart,

    for everything you do flows from it.

24

Keep your mouth free of perversity;

    keep corrupt talk far from your lips.

25

Let your eyes look straight ahead;

    fix your gaze directly before you.

26

Give careful thought to the[c] paths for your feet

    and be steadfast in all your ways.

27

Do not turn to the right or the left;

    keep your foot from evil.

A daily devotion to your relationship with Jesus. A constant devotion to keep Gods commandments. The everyday devotion to God is where we need to search In order to find this long path of wisdom. So as you go along your journey today, this week, and even the rest of your life, know that the path of wisdom lies with obedience and attention to God the Father. This, along with constantly seeking for his words and lessons, will lead you down the path of a long, prosperous, and wiseful life.

β™‘Take a couple minutes out of your day to meditate on what you read!
