Day 26🌿

R U T H 🌿

Ruth Chapter 1

– A citizen from Bethlehem named Elimelech, his wife Naomi, and their two sons move to Moab during a famine. The boys marry Moabite girls, but soon both father and sons die, leaving three widows. Naomi returns to Bethlehem, accompanied by one of her daughters-in – law, named Ruth, who had renounced the Moabite gods for the true God of Israel.

{1}. Ruth 1:16-17 This reminds me of our out cry towards Christ. Gods plea with us. He wants us, but are we willing to let him?

Ruth Chapter 2

– In the province of God Ruth gleans wheat in the field owned by Boaz, a near relative of Elimelech. At their first meeting, Boaz falls in love with Ruth. Upon learning this, Naomi plans a wedding.

{2}. Boaz respected her it will say in Ruth 2:8 where he says “listen, my daughter” but it wasn’t a belittling statement but a word of endearment, respect towards Ruth.

{3}. Her character went before her into a town she’d never been with people she’s never known. And when Boaz found favor she fell facedown, in such humbleness. Her character exceeded her. And caught the eyes of those around her. Ruth 2:10-12

Ruth Chapter 3

– Naomi sends Ruth to Boaz, that she might request of him to fulfill his responsibility as a kinsman redeemer. Boaz is thrilled with Ruth’s request, but tells her there is a kinsman closer than he. Ruth returns home and leaves the matter with God.

{4}. Because she was loyal to Naomi, Boaz knew she’d be loyal to him.

Ruth Chapter 4

– Boaz arranges a meeting with the closer kinsman redeemer. Upon hearing the facts, he steps aside and allows Boaz to fulfill the kinsman redeemer responsibilities, including marriage to Ruth. Ruth presents Boaz with a male baby boy which is named Obed.

All this took place so our Savior could take his, through the line of Ruth came our savior! Crazy how a tragedy , a love story and a redemption story all play apart to tell the ultimate end story❤️
