Iâm not Hardcore…
– âChristianâ
– âGood Girlâ
– âBasicâ
But I am hardcore…
– Follower Of Christ
– Reader of his word
âThe words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.â
ââPsalm⏠â12:6⏠â
-That there is truth & Freedom in the Cross of Jesus.
âSo Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, âIf you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.â They answered him, âWe are offspring of Abraham and have never been enslaved to anyone. How is it that you say, âYou will become freeâ?â Jesus answered them, âTruly, truly, I say to you, everyone who practices sin is a slave to sin. The slave does not remain in the house forever; the son remains forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.â
ââJohn⏠â8:31-36⏠â
For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.â
ââGalatians⏠â5:1⏠â
The world can define Christians but they canât define a one on one with Christ.
They can define my outer reputation but not my inner character.
Iâm not defined by the titles of the world but by the value of the Cross. And you arenât either! Youâre past doesnât define you. Youâre future failures donât define you. The pit of darkness doesnât define you. The shame you feel doesnât define you. The insecurity you feel doesnât define you. The Cross of Jesus defines you! The blood of Jesus has set you free, and you are free indeed! The harder people try to label or define you the more there own agenda and character shows.
Jesus shapes.
Jesus remakes.
âBut when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have come, then through the greater and more perfect tent ( not made with hands, that is, not of this creation) he entered once for all into the holy places, not by means of the blood of goats and calves but by means of his own blood, thus securing an eternal redemption. For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the sprinkling of defiled persons with the ashes of a heifer, sanctify for the purification of the flesh, how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serve the living God. Therefore he is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.â
ââHebrews⏠â9:11-15⏠â
Jesus refines.
Jesus heals.
âAnd my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.â
ââPhilippians⏠â4:19⏠â
Jesus sets free.
Jesus speaks truth & is truth.
Jesus forgives.
âHe does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. As a father shows compassion to his children, so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him.â
ââPsalm⏠â103:10-13⏠â
Jesus teaches.
Jesus is the way the truth & the life.
âJesus said to him, âI am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.â
ââJohn⏠â14:6⏠â
My life should speak that. My social media should speak that. My personal encounter with someone should speak that. My one on one is where itâs going to be reflective of that.
Iâm not hardcore what the world thinks Christianâs are or should be. I would never measure up or be a âgood enough Christianâ for them. Donât be of the sole religion but of sole one on one relationship with Christ. Yes, fellowship is incredible and church as well, but donât let that be the only encounter with Christ you have. Real growth, truly real growth happens when we dig in ourselves for a one on one relationship with Christ.
These are things that simply define you.
Your faith.
Your outlook.
Your trust in Christ.
Your one on one relationship with Christ.
